Finally after two false starts in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid 19 restrictions the Run For The Wall is back on!!! Anywhere from 15 – 1800 bikers will participate leaving from Ontario, California headed to Washington DC on three different routes. A follow on Mission was tested out in 2019 and so a fourth route from Washington DC to the Middle East Conflicts Wall was established and will happen this year.
Veterans, Family Members, Concerned Citizens, Patriots, and Bikers from all over the country will start heading that way in the next couple of days. I my self is leaving on the ninth, taking 8 – 10 days to cross the country from Chattanooga, TN. I finally have the time and money to see this great country up close and personal, instead of rushing out there and back!
It’s taken me several months and lots of tears to cull out all the places I have discovered through folks posting on Instagram, FB, and just places I have been through but couldn’t stop. The list is still growing two days before I leave, but alas the new places are going into the bucket list pile, or maybe the win the lottery pile.
As one of the main titles says, this is my third and best attempt at starting this blog. I have purposely put an end time to each day so I can post pictures, edit these posts, and basically start a Motorcycle Travel Log for myself and possibly others to use and keep for proof during those long bar stories we bikers love to tell. Also for us old folks that can remember what we did and saw, but not necessarily where and when. LOL
I’ve been playing with all kinds of new technology to help make this an easier task, but I’m not sure I will have it all figured out until the total 20 days are up!
Here are some pictures of my FNG year ride. They say the FNG stands for Fine New Guy/Gal, but we all know what it really means! I was proud to wear it!
